Painting and Maintenance Tip for February:

Water intrusion problems can many times be caused by clocked weep holes in the bottom track of your windows.
We recommend that you vacuum the track and make sure that the weep holes are free of dust or dirt.
Also, make sure (on older single pane windows) that the rubber seal between the aluminum and the glass is in good condition.
The rubber dries out and cracks when it gets old and this can cause water intrusion as well.
Last, make sure that any cracks between the window frame and the stucco or wood surfaces surrounding the wood is properly caulked with a high grade urethane caulking.
